The 42nd Iowa Senior Amateur will be hosted by Crow Valley Golf Club, August 24-26, marking the first time the event has been held in the Quad Cities area. Crow Valley GC played host to the now-known John Deere Classic on the PGA TOUR since event's inception in 1971 through 1974.
Crow Valley GC, most recently host of the 2019 Iowa Cup Matches, will feature the state’s best 50 and over aged golfers. Golfers in the field will be welcomed to a firm and fast golf course, properly suited with a mix of holes that require several shots in the bag to find success.
Last year’s champion at Mason City Country Club, Gene Elliott, is in the field. Elliott and Joe Palmer are the only two golfers to win the event since 2012 when Bill Watson captured the trophy at Mason City CC. Defending Super Senior Division champion, Jim Campbell, is also back in the field and will look to take home the title again in 2020.
